A sculptural candle designed as a functional object.
The Lion Candle is hand-poured in our Wicklow studio using 100% natural soy wax, chosen for its clean burn and smooth finish. Unscented by design, it provides soft ambient light without fragrance, allowing the form to stand on its own.
Cast in a compact lion’s head shape, this piece works as a decorative candle or shelf object, offering visual weight without excess detail. The naturally smooth surface is achieved through controlled pouring and curing, with no additives or coatings.

Many pillar candles are made from paraffin, a petroleum-derived wax often chosen for rigidity and shine.
MAMO pillars use only plant-based soy wax and lead-free cotton wicks. The
smooth finish comes from controlled pouring and curing, resulting in a cleaner
burn with minimal soot and no added coatings.
Care & Use
Care & Use
First use: Burn for 1 hour to establish an even melt
and reduce tunnelling.
Ongoing care: Trim the wick to 5mm before each use for a steady flame.
Placement: Pillar candles may drip as they burn. Always place on a
heat-resistant tray or ceramic dish, particularly when used on tables or
surfaces.
